Socks for Mom
The socks for Mom are complete, and I must say, she is lucky that I love her so much, because otherwise I'd keep them. I loved knitting these - of course the yarn is wonderful, but the pattern was excellent too. I could not help but think of a couple fellow bloggers who are fond of the blues each time I picked these up.
Project Specs:
Pattern: River Rapids from Sock Bug
Yarn: Socks that Rock lightweight, color "Midsumers Night"
Needles: Addi Turbo #1, magic loop
Notes: Great yarn, great pattern. Should make some for myself!

I'd have a hard time not keeping those for myself too. Awesome pattern and color. Nice job!
Perfect yarn and pattern combination. They look wonderful! You have a very lucky mom indeed.
Wow! They look so great. The color is fantastic, which will go great with jeans. And the pattern is lovely. Your Mom will love them. Great job!
Awesome socks! Loving the colorway.
That looks like a great pattern. I've often considered trying some of Sockbug's patterns but I get frustrated that since many of the photos are of highly variegated socks, it's hard to see the pattern. I can definitely see the pattern in your picture and I'm going to add these to my list. Thanks!!!! I hope you mom likes them!!!
They are beautiful. I'm sure your mom deserves them.
Those are delicious. I'd be hard pressed to give them up, myself.
Yep. I'd have some separation anxiety too. Those are splendid! :-)
I can't say I blame you for not wanting to give them up. I love that color. River Rapids is a fun pattern to knit, isn't it?
You ARE a good daughter! They are beautiful!!
I say make yourself a pair too :-)
Amazing. I can see why you want to keep them for yourself. Your mom's a lucky lady!
Oh I love those socks, great job!!!
Perfect marriage of yarn and pattern - lucky Mom! :)
You should definitely make a pair for yourself! Love 'em.
You know, I made a pair of socks out of that sock yarn that was called Midsummer's Night, but mine must have been mislabeled, as mine are darker than any other that i have seen. I mean, I still love them, but yours! All I'm saying is, I don't even KNOW your mother, so I'd have no trouble getting her some flowers and sticking those in my sock drawer. :)
Will you hit NH S&W? Do or don't, either way, I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!!
