ribbon blanket

An utterly "cheating" blog post, as I'm just pushing this from Flickr. Latest knitting completed is this colorful baby blanket. I actually have no idea if recipient baby has arrived yet, but I believe she's due soon. Pattern is Ribbons Baby Blanket (Ravelry Project Link for details).

Life is suddenly super, super busy - my work week is now 4 days (I know, poor me!), kids are each in schools 20miles apart, we have homework now, lunches to make, school activities to attend, soccer, etc. I thought this mom gig was supposed to get easier as they get older?

Whoever told you that the job gets easier was being a bit less than truthful. It's not exhausting, as in I-was-up-all-night-with-a-screaming-baby exhausting, but logistical juggling is tiring in its own right.

Dang! I can't imagine having to take kids to schools so far apart! You are better than I. I would have chucked it all and started a think tank.

What a great blanket!

We always schedule ourselves 110%. If it drops below that, we add more. (There's data on that, I'm told.)
